Honda brought back the Passport for 2019 as a shorter two-row version of the Pilot, and the two share this five button fob on upper trims. The face usually reads lock, unlock, power tailgate, remote start and panic. If your SUV has no power tailgate or no remote start, your fob probably has fewer buttons, so confirm before ordering. What if the fob battery dies on the road? Honda designed for that. Hold the fob against the engine start button and press it, and the SUV reads the fob at close range. To get inside, pull out the small key concealed in the fob and use the driver's door lock. We cut that key to your car, because an uncut emergency key is of no use in a parking lot. Families tend to keep only one fob in circulation and leave the second in a drawer until it goes missing. Adding a fob while you still have one is the simpler visit.
