Automotive Keys 2022-2023 Dodge Ram Promaster / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

Compared with the four-button ProMaster key, this one adds a fifth control, most often remote start, which some 2022-2023 vans came equipped with. If your van has never had remote start, the button would sit idle, so check your existing fob first or ask us to confirm for your van. Everything else follows the same logic as any modern smart key. The van has a list of keys it trusts. A new fob only joins that list when we program it through the van's diagnostic connection, which means the van must be with us, along with its registration and the driver's photo ID. The fob's internal blade is cut to the door lock for the day the battery quits. Upfitters and fleet managers sometimes ask us to bring extra keys up to the same layout across a mixed fleet; that is fine as long as each van has the equipment for every button. Rough handling in a work van is the usual reason these fobs crack. If the case is broken but the electronics work, ask whether moving them to a new housing is possible before buying a whole key. We can come to the van wherever it is parked.
