Avalon and Corolla owners from 2008 to 2012 will recognise this one: a black plastic head with the remote built in and a fixed metal blade, rather than a separate fob on the ring. The four buttons on these sedans are normally lock, unlock, trunk release and panic. If your current key has only three, you want the three-button version; the trunk button is the difference. Toyota put the transponder chip in the head, so the car will not start on a cut blade alone. The remote and the immobiliser chip both need programming to your vehicle, which we do with the car present. The blade is cut to match your locks, either from your existing key or by code.
