Turn-key Sorentos of 2013 to 2015 used a folding key with four buttons, usually lock, unlock, liftgate and panic. The blade swings out when you press the release and turns in an ordinary ignition. Higher Sorento trims used a smart key with push start instead, so check your dash before ordering this one. Inside the head are the transponder chip and remote board. We cut the blade to your lock and program both to your Sorento, with it parked at our shop or at your home. Registration and photo ID needed. Kia flip keys share a familiar failure with other folding keys: the pivot loosens, the spring weakens, and eventually the blade flops free. Cases also crack where the release button sits. If your electronics still work, ask whether a shell would do. If the key is lost, or the board has failed, this full key is the fix.
