Automotive Keys 2013-2019 Honda / 3-Button Remote Head Key Vancouver

Honda sold a huge number of cars in these years with a turned key rather than a start button, and this three button remote head key is the one most of them left the factory with. Lock, unlock and a third function sit on the head, the transponder chip is buried behind them, and the steel blade comes out of the bottom, so the one part answers the door, the ignition and the remote locking. Honda changed its blade during this window. Early cars take a conventional edge cut blade; later ones take the high security sidewinder blade with a groove milled down the centre, and a shop without the second type of cutter can sell you the key but cannot finish it. We run both machines, so the blade is cut to your lock the same day it is programmed, either at the counter or at the vehicle, and nothing has to be ordered through a dealer. Understand what you are buying: this is the whole key with the electronics inside, whereas a shell is the empty case with a blank blade and no board. A shell only makes sense when your current key still locks, unlocks and starts the car and the only thing wrong is the plastic. The typical reason a Honda owner needs a complete key instead is a head that has snapped at the ring, buttons worn to the board, or a key that went into a lake or a washing machine. Have the registration, a piece of photo identification and the vehicle with you when you come to 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver, and bring the surviving key if there is one, because it shortens the programming considerably. Give us a call on 604-734-7233 with the model and year first; the Civic, Accord, CR-V, Fit and Odyssey of these years do not all take the identical unit.
