Automotive Keys 2014-2017 Kia Rio / 4-Button Flip Key Vancouver

Kia's Rio is a small car with a simple key system, and for turn-ignition Rios from 2014 to 2017 this folding remote key is the factory style. Lock, unlock, trunk and panic sit on the face, and a button on the side releases the blade. What to check first: is your Rio a sedan or a hatchback, and does it start with a key or a button? We will want both answers before confirming this key, because the hatchback's rear release and some trim differences can affect which remote is correct. We often get Rios in with a key whose blade has snapped off at the pivot, leaving the owner holding a working remote with no way to start the car. If the broken piece is still with you, bring it; it can help us cut the new blade, though we can also cut to code. Once the blade is cut, the transponder chip and remote get programmed to the car, which requires the Rio to be there. You will also need the registration and photo ID. A car with one remaining key is simpler to add a key to than one with none, so a spare is worth thinking about early.
