Automotive Keys 2001-2018 Ford / Mercury / 3-Button Remote Head Key / PN: 164-R8070 / OUCD6000022 (4D 63 80 BIT) (AFTERMARKET Vancouver

If your Ford key has three buttons, lock, unlock and panic, and no trunk button, this is likely the one. It is an aftermarket replacement for Ford part 164-R8070, with an 80-bit 4D63 transponder, and it covers a long list of trucks and SUVs, from the 2004 to 2014 F-150 and 2004 to 2016 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty to the Escape, Edge, Expedition, Explorer, Ranger, Flex and E-Series, along with the Mercury Mariner and Monterey. The 80-bit chip is the detail to watch. Ford moved from the older 40-bit chip to the 80-bit version partway through this period, so a 2005 Explorer and a 2012 Explorer may need different keys even though they look identical. Check the year and model against the compatibility list, and ask us to confirm for your trim/year if your vehicle sits near a changeover. We cut the blade on our code machine and add the key to PATS. With two working keys, many of these vehicles let you add a third with the on-board procedure; otherwise, our programmer does it at the vehicle, including all keys lost. Bring the truck, the registration and your photo ID. Fleet managers with several vehicles are welcome to call ahead so we can plan the visit.
