Automotive Keys 2018-2020 GMC Terrain / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

Upper Terrain trims came with the full fob: lock, unlock, remote start, power liftgate and panic. That fifth button only does something if your Terrain was built with the matching features, so the easiest test is your existing fob. If it has a circular arrow and a liftgate icon, this is your replacement. It is common for one of the two extra buttons to go first. Remote start gets pressed twice every winter morning, and the liftgate button gets pressed with grocery bags in hand. A worn contact or a cracked case can make either one hit-and-miss long before the fob dies completely. The job starts with the blade. Your Terrain's fob holds a small metal key for the driver's door, and we cut it to your lock on a code machine. Then we program the new fob to the vehicle through the diagnostic port. GM limits how many fobs a vehicle can store, and we can clear out a lost one while we are connected. We need the Terrain present, along with registration and photo ID.
