Automotive Keys 2019-2021 Dodge Ram Pickup HD 2500-5500 / 5-Button Smart Key Vancouver

The Heavy Duty Ram lineup, from the 2500 pickup through the 5500 chassis cab, was redesigned for 2019, a year after the half-ton. These trucks carry a five button proximity fob on trims with push start. The extra two buttons beyond lock, unlock and panic typically control remote start and the tailgate, but chassis cabs built for upfitted bodies can differ, so compare the icons on your current fob. HD trucks often belong to a business, and the keys get handed between drivers. That raises two questions we hear a lot: can you make more keys, and can you stop a missing one from working? Yes to both. Each programming session can add fobs and remove ones that are no longer accounted for. Remote start on a heavy truck parked outside all winter is the feature people miss first, and that convenience is a big reason owners replace a failing fob rather than living with the emergency key. The emergency key inside the fob is cut to your driver's door on our code machine. Programming happens at the truck, at a yard or job site if that is easier.
