We take the transponder out of your broken key, set it in the new shell, and cut the blade to match your original or the key code. Because the chip is the one the car already knows, nothing has to be programmed and the car does not need to visit us; bring the old key to the counter. The shell is a mechanical part only. If your key has remote buttons on the head, this shell does not suit it; those keys need a remote head shell or a whole key.
