Automotive Keys B114 Saturn Vue / Chevy Captiva Sport Trans Vancouver

The Saturn Vue and its successor, the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, share an ignition key on the B114 keyway with a transponder in the head. Saturn as a brand ended in 2010, which makes keys for a Vue harder to find in general, and this is one of the parts we keep for owners still driving them. The Captiva Sport used it through its run. To be safe, ask us to confirm for your year, because the Vue's early models differ. A transponder key looks like a basic key, but the immobiliser reads the chip in its head before letting the engine run. So the job is cut, then program. We cut the blade to your ignition on the code machine or from your old key, then pair the chip with the SUV present, after checking registration and photo ID. Owners often ask whether the chip from a broken key can just be swapped over; sometimes it can, and we will tell you if that is the cheaper path. The other common request is a second key for an SUV that has been running on one for years, which is far easier to sort out before that last key goes missing.
