Automotive Keys Lexus 2004-2009 / 3-Button Remote Head Key Vancouver

Lexus moved to proximity keys early, but a number of its 2004 to 2009 vehicles, particularly the base trims and the trucks, still carried a turned key with the remote built into the head, and that is the part on this page. It has three buttons, an immobiliser chip inside the head, and a cut blade; one key, three jobs. The blade opens the door and turns the ignition, the chip lets the engine run, and the remote reaches the locks and the trunk. Lexus shares its key platform with Toyota, so the same programmer that handles a Camry handles this key, and we do the cutting and both stages of programming ourselves, at the counter or at the car. What tends to go wrong with a remote head key at fifteen years old is mechanical rather than electronic. The plastic bridge between the head and the blade cracks, the buttons go soft, and the blade wears until it binds in a cylinder that has also worn, which is a common complaint on the older ES and IS. If the buttons and the start still work and only the case has failed, buy a shell instead, which is the housing without any electronics; your board and chip move across into it and we cut a fresh blade to match, and it costs less than the complete key described here. If the key is lost or the board is dead, this complete key is the answer. We ask that the vehicle, the registration and your driver's licence come to 4105 Macdonald St in Vancouver for the programming, along with any key that still works, because adding a spare beside a working key is a much shorter appointment than originating one from nothing. Tell us the model when you call 604-734-7233, since the ES, IS, GS, GX and RX of these years did not all leave the factory with the same head.
